The Solaris 55 is the peak of sailing performance for a minimum crew and maximum luxury. It can out-perform many other yachts in its class, and with the self-tacking jib can be comfortably handled by a sole proficient sailor.
Drawing on their 50 years creating some of the most elegant yachts in the water, Solaris has continued their work with the talented naval architect Javier Soto Acebal for yet another successful collaboration in this masterful piece of performance engineering.
The focus of the Solaris 55 is for stability and hull balance, as the rounded shape of the stern and almost circular transom give plenty of interior space, and lends itself to a bow-up attitude for reduced drag and high stability at sea.
The small chine at the bow, tapering to a broad rounded stern for longitudinal trim gives excellent speed, while the twin rudders provide great stability for the high-performance hull design.
