The Contest 63CS’s exterior is designed with versatility and ease in mind, allowing for relaxed cruising or active sailing, whether solo or with guests. The layout supports single-handed sailing with a sophisticated, short-handed sail management system. All lines, halyards, and sheets lead aft to the helm, enabling the operator to manage sails and course from a single, central point at the dual helm stations. This streamlined setup also includes a central mainsheet winch between the helm positions, which, along with options for self-tacking jibs and in-mast or in-boom reefing, simplifies sail handling.
With its flush foredeck and low-profile, glazed coach roof, the Contest 63CS has a sleek, modern look. The foredeck, designed to be as smooth as a dancefloor, features flush hatches, including a generously sized hatch for access to the oversized sail locker and workshop area. This locker offers extensive space for sail storage, gear, and tools—ideal for extended voyages.
The twin cockpit layout distinguishes guest and sailing areas, providing a spacious, protected cockpit forward for lounging and socialising, free from control lines and equipment. Aft, the helm area remains dedicated to sailing operations. At the stern, a hydraulic swim platform folds down to create a large beach deck for swimming and tender access, with the tender garage conveniently positioned just below.
The Contest 63CS interior is crafted to make the most of its spacious beam and advanced composite structure, made possible by Contest’s renowned single-injection moulding process. This innovation allows for an open, expansive layout that provides guests with freedom of movement and abundant light, all while maintaining excellent structural integrity for stability and safety at sea.
Accommodations include three sumptuous double suites, with a fourth cabin as an optional layout. The aft master suite exudes elegance, complete with a dedicated en-suite featuring a full-sized, separate shower, premium fixtures, and generous storage. In the bow, the two VIP suites are designed as mirror images, offering equally luxurious accommodations for guests, with each suite featuring its own en-suite bathroom, shower, and toilet, ensuring a balanced and sophisticated guest experience. For those needing additional flexibility, the forepeak offers options for a fourth cabin, complete with its own shower, ideal as a crew cabin or additional guest space.
Throughout the yacht, high-end materials and finishes reflect Contest’s commitment to quality and customisation. The interior showcases elegant joinery and handholds subtly integrated into the furniture, ensuring both comfort and safety. Large hull windows, together with numerous hatches, flood the interiors with natural light, enhancing the yacht’s already generous sense of space. In the galley, a two-sided layout offers exceptional functionality, with abundant storage and high-quality appliances that make it easy to provision for extended passages.
With a reliable Volvo Penta 150hp engine, options for advanced navigation and performance systems, and a fuel capacity of 1,000L, the Contest 63CS is fully equipped for long-range bluewater cruising. The 63CS combines technical innovation, luxurious amenities, and user-friendly systems in a truly exceptional sailing yacht.
