Palm Beach and Palma to host stylish Fjord 39 debuts.
The all-new Fjord 39 XP and Fjord 39 XL will enjoy separate launches on either side of the Atlantic, with the first unveiling in Florida this weekend 22-24 March.
Singled-out as one of the must-see boats at the Palm Beach International Boat Show in Florida which runs over this weekend, the Fjord 39 XP keeps all the bold design cues of the bigger Fjord 41 XP and XL, like a big, open cockpit, walkaround centre-console, vertical bow, high windshield and stretched hardtop. It will be powered by twin 400 hp Mercury Verado V10 outboards giving a 50-knot top speed.
The Fjord 39 XL comes with a choice of twin 320hp Volvo D4 diesels, or bigger 440 hp D6 versions, both with Volvo stern drives. It will be unveiled at a World Premiere at the Palma International Boat Show on Thursday April 25 on the Spanish island of Mallorca.
Both versions benefit from features such as:
Hull: The newly developed and hydrodynamically optimised high-performance sandwich hull with its robust inner frame ensures great stability. The typical dynamic slab Fjord hull lines give the Fjord 39 an unmistakable on-water presence.
Deck: The helm station with up to three pilot seats is equipped with state-of-the-art control systems and displays. The Fjord 39 offers the option of two galley blocks with sink, large work surface and a choice of gas grill or gas cooker. Up to three fridges are available on the main deck while the seating area with two foldable and electrically lowerable tables can accommodate up to eight people. The large, electrically opening sun lounge on the aft deck offers plenty of space to relax. Below this is a large storage space, which in the Fjord 39 XP extends deeper into the hull, where in the XL the engines are located here due to the stern drive concept.
The entire cockpit is shaded by the largest T-top in this class. The robust roof pillars are integrated into the side wall for maximum stability and freedom of movement. Access to the bow is via the wide side decks, typical of a Fjord, to the second large sun lounge on the foredeck. The main area of the large swim platform on the 39 XP is to the side of the outboard engines. A multifunctional ladder is integrated in both the inboard and outboard versions and can be used either as a gangway or as convenient access to the water. It can be extended and adjusted automatically.
Interior: The exclusive interior concept of the Fjord 39 makes optimum use of every inch of space below deck. The spacious cabin is equipped with a large double berth. The drawers underneath and easy-to-use built-in cupboards on the port side offer plenty of storage space, which can be optionally extended by a wardrobe on the starboard side. The standard fridge on the port side provides additional options for catering for guests. The fully equipped head with separate shower is to starboard.
There is a choice of four different design styles for the interior: Classic, Polar, Elegance, and Sport.

The Fjord 39 is the last Fjord to come from the pen of former Chief designer Patrick Banfield, whose work also includes the classic Wallytender and one-off superyacht tenders for Feadship, and he has imbued the 39 with similar admirable aesthetic traits plus an emphasis on quietness and elegant surroundings.
Anthony Bishop Managing Director of Windcraft Yachts and the exclusive Fjord dealer for the Australia/NZ region, is looking forward to delivering the first Fjord 39 into Australia.
“We’ve experienced an appreciable surge in dayboating over the past few years,” he notes. “The celebrated Fjord look coupled with its multifunctional character and high-quality joinery, finishes and fabrics have attracted interest from those who appreciate performance, luxurious touches and versatility the brand is renowned for” Anthony Bishop
He agrees the 39’s undeniable appeal will ensure it graces docks from Miami to the Med but emphasises Fjord fans here and in New Zealand can secure a build slot for either a 39 XL or 39 XP if they act soon.
