Hanse will soon launch the 360, the fourth model in its highly innovative series from its collaboration with designers Berret-Racoupeau.
Offering a practical and spacious cabin layout in two or three cabin formats, the Hanse 360 combines the easy handling and manoeuvrability of a 11.3 metre (37 ft), yacht with the latest sailing technology from the well-known and respected Hanse shipyard.
With her plumb bow, fore and aft chines, streamlined cabin top profile and slim waterline the 360 also promises pleasing performance capable of podium results in club racing as demonstrated by her larger sibling, the Hanse 460.
Add to that extras such as a BBQ, a refrigerator in the cockpit, two fridges below deck or a second separate bathroom in the owner’s cabin and you have a boat just as capable of hosting a family weekend away at your favourite anchorage or in the two cabin version that comes with voluminous storage aft for a yacht in this category, extended blue water cruising to the Whitsundays and the Great Barrier Reef.
Like all Hanse yachts, the 360 utilises the brand’s signature self-tacking jib system, as well as having all lines led to the helm station and the option of electric winches, enabling the boat to be effectively sailed by a couple or solo.
The optional bowsprit houses an integrated anchor arm along with a forward attachment point for a gennaker or crossover sail. Opting for performance rig sees a square head mainsail with an extra 6.0 square metres compared with the standard mainsail.
Highlights
Hull: The hydrodynamic design with a slim waterline ensures a slippery hull shape with a good turn of speed. The chines translate to maximum possible interior space.
Deck: The helm station with optional folding seats enables the helmsman or skipper to easily reach all sheets and lines. A secondary winch on the coaming allows fast, efficient trimming of the Code Zero or Gennaker. There’s accessible and easy-to-open storage space in the cockpit behind the helm position for various standard liferaft models.
The cockpit table is a classic set-up or a designer table made of GRP with an integrated stainless steel refrigerator. The optional BBQ can be operated from the swim platform.
Rig: The Hanse 360’s standard configuration of 66 square metres upwind and 169 square metres downwind emphasises the yacht’s performance potential. As a particularly environmentally friendly option, high-performance SPS Sustainable Performance Sails from Elvstrøm are available, made predominantly from recycled materials.
Interior: The smart arrangement of up to 16 opening hatches and windows ensures maximum light and ventilation below deck.
With 12 possible layout combinations, the Hanse 360 can be tailored entirely according to personal requirements. The large owner’s cabin is complemented by its own separate bathroom, a rare feature in a yacht of this size. Aft you have the choice between two roomy, comfortable cabins or an aft cabin and a large storage space.
The spacious saloon offers room for up to eight people around the large nicely finished table, which is available in two different versions. The L-shaped galley can accommodate a maximum of two extra fridges providing up to 192 litres of additional cooling capacity. A navigation table is also available.
Engine Options: the Hanse 360 will come with the choice of either traditional 29hp or 39hp diesel saildrives, or as a 25kW electric system with either an 18kWh or a 36kWh battery.
Flagship Package: A special upgrade available for the Hanse 360 is the Flagship Package that features high-quality leather handrails, extra luxurious upholstery and additional reading lights.
The new Hanse 360 will replace the Hanse 348 and Hanse 388 models which have proved extremely competent family cruisers, capable of coastal passages and extended bluewater cruising. Based on the design parameters there’s no reason the 360 won’t be handier and quicker than her predecessors.
The new Hanse 360 will celebrate her world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival 10-15 September 2024.
