Combining flexibility, space and luxury the Sealine C390 has attracted a dedicated following among boaters seeking an attractive crossover between day boating and comfortable weekend family cruising.
The C390 destined for Australia is due to be unloaded in time for the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show in late May 2025. The gleaming Star White hull will be the first of Sealine’s acclaimed C390s to be based in Australian waters. However, there is a 390 in Auckland that cruises extensively on the Haruaki Gulf and its adaptable comforts and ability to handle the inevitable challenging conditions on the Gulf has made it very popular with its Owners.
Well-known designer Bill Dixon has given the 12-metre C390 a signature swooping hardtop, sliding roof panels and a spacious aft cockpit that is easily adaptable for changeable weather, complete with an outdoor galley and barbecue. Sliding bi-fold doors and a hopper window mean the saloon and the cockpit can be combined into one extended single level al fresco space, perfect for entertaining or relaxing.
For the Gold Coast Owner that means thanks to the C390’s 34 knot performance he can quickly be out on the Broadwater heading north to Tipplers on South Stradbroke Island or cruise down to the dock outside Marina Mirage – the Gold Coast’s luxury shopping mall, soon to include a 122-room Marriot hotel.
Regardless of where you dock and or anchor you can chill out around the cockpit’s big L-shaped lounge which is adjustable, as is the table which is close to the fridge, wet bar and barbecue. The C390’s cockpit is protected by the streamlined roof whose supports are integrated into the bulwarks.
Downstairs there’s class-leading accommodations of three roomy double cabins and two bathrooms. Alternatively, the third cabin can be configured for extra stowage and hanging space. The Owner of this C390 has opted for the double master in the bow, twin singles in the port cabin and the utility room for storage.
The Owners cabin in the bow boasts overhead skylights, and long raked hull windows on either side. The relatively beam-forward design and steep hull sides give a feeling of space and allow plenty of headroom when you are sitting up in the bed.
There’s the choice of the standard twin Volvo Penta D4-300 HP stern drives that deliver 27 knots or the upgraded twin Volvo Penta D6-370 HP stern drives which will be on the model destined for the Gold Coast which the client decided best suited his requirements, also choosing a bow thruster with joystick controls which should provide easy, fingertip control while manoeuvring.

Sealine offers a range of packages to enhance the boating experience and this Owner has elected to take advantage of a number of them starting with the Navigation Package which delivers a host of upgrades including a Raymarine i70s multifunctional display with transducer (speed, depth, temp) at helm station, Raymarine AXIOM PRO 12 chart plotter at helm position with GPS antenna, enlarged dashboard, a Raymarine Ray90 VHF radio, Raymarine Autopilot with control unit at helm position.
The Cruising Package sees the addition of four extra cleats, two either side, Trim Tabs with automatic control, adjustable tilt steering wheel, cockpit canopies (nearly a must for Queensland cruising), along with galvanised 16 kg anchor with 60m of chain, plus a reversible electric windlass with automatic fuse and remote control at helm position.
The Comfort Package adds an openable glass porthole in master cabin on starboard side, synthetic teak on the swim platform, on the steps to cockpit and in the cockpit itself. Saloon opening roof, electric drive with blinds, electric toilets on both the starboard and port side, mosquito nets in forward hatch, along with a comprehensive set of blinds for the hull windows and hatches.
Entertainment and TV Packages ensure premium audio from FUSION including high-end 2 way speakers in master cabin, plus TV flat screens in both the master cabin and saloon.
Other very desirable extras on this C390 include a door on the starboard side near the helm station for easy access to the side decks while tying-up in a marina pen or at a dock, and an electric convertible back rest in the cockpit which in tandem with the high-lo table easily transforms into a large sun bed.
Add a gen-set and air-conditioning to that long list of features and you have a fast, attractive sporty family cruiser able to shift seamlessly between a fun day out on the water or able to comfortably accommodate at least four people for a few days or a week cruising out the way bays and anchorages.
The Owner had long desired a Sealine and looked at many other boats but when it came down to it, ‘I just like the Sealine,’ he told Windcraft’s Queensland Sales Manager Gavin Ward, who guided the first-time boat owner through the entire process, including the extensive options regarding interior finishes and fabrics.
We applaud the Owner’s choice and wish him and his family many happy hours exploring the 860 kilometres of navigable tidal waterways and dozens of superb beaches of the Gold Coast.
