"Innovative design, superior performance, a spacious interior and many luxury features."
That’s the verdict on the new Hanse 360 from UK publication Sailing Today.
The 360’s class-leading merits have already been recognised with a European Yacht of the Year Award 2025, and as one of SAIL magazine’s Top 10 Best Boats for 2025.
The reasons are pretty simple: the 360 offers extremely spacious internal dimensions for yacht its size, and it’s fun and fast to sail.
Peter Poland from Sailing Today put the 360 through its paces in a gusty 20-knot outing on the Solent. He liked what he saw even from the dock:
“My first impression on visiting the Hanse 360 at Hamble Point marina was one of delight. From her plumb bow to the splendidly spacious cockpit, her sleek lines were appealing. What’s more – unlike some of its competitors claiming the same length – the Hanse 360 is a genuine 36-footer with an LOA of 11.32m (37’6”), Hull length of 10.6m (34’9”), LWL of 10.29m (33’9”) and Beam of 3.99m (13’1”).”
Later out on the water, he discovered the 360’s Berret/Racoupeau-designed hull with its mix of hard and soft chines and a relatively narrow hull shape below translates into sharp and pleasing performance.
“The magic of the Hanse 360 is that it’s so very easy to control and sail. Once the sails are raised, the self-tacking jib and the mainsail tack in unison and the yacht settles into an easy groove. What’s more the well-positioned self-tailing winches are within easy reach of the helmsman (or crew) and when the yacht feels in the mood to change onto a broad reach or a deep run it’s easy.”

Inspiration Marine Group Director Phil Dollin was on board for the Sailing Today test and has been sailing new Hanse models for two decades. Here’s his impression of the 360.
Phil Dollin: “I have to admit, when the new models with a zero (Hanse 460, Hanse 510, Hanse 410) came out, I was initially a bit dubious of them because of their beamy dimensions. The Hanses have always sailed really well, and I hoped this wasn’t a massive departure from what the Hanses were well known for.
When the first one, the Hanse 460, was launched, it sailed remarkably; it belies the way it looks at the stern. When you start coming down the range, I enjoy them even more. The 360 is like that. It just takes off.
We had a full main; it was blowing 18-20 knots true wind. It just picked up its heels and felt a lot like a Dehler; good acceleration, pointing ability, and a nice turn of speed.”
Phil agrees that the 360’s spacious cockpit and its extra roomy Owners cabin that features a large semi walk-around island bed with enough room for double pillows at the forepeak end, gives it the feel of a larger boat.
Watch Phil’s comprehensive walk-through of the Hanse 360 here:
The Hanse 360 is available in a standard two-cabin configuration with a single bathroom/head, or alternatively a three-cabin, two-bathroom version.
Either way, the 360’s 3.99 metre beam is carried all the way aft to create a spacious saloon with nav table, large galley with optional extra fridges, and plenty of volume for the aft cabins. The port aft cabin can be a deep sail locker/wet space/storage with access from the cockpit that’s also easily capable of storing a decent-sized deflated dinghy.
The starboard aft cabin boasts a 2.05-metre-long double berth and is the slightly bigger aft one in the three-cabin version of the 360. There’s ample natural ventilation thanks to a vertical window that opens into the cockpit, and a coach house hatch captures any cooling breeze across the deck.
The cockpit is the heart of any sailing yacht, where the crew spends the majority of their time, and the Hanse 360 benefits from some standard-setting dimensions here. Relax around an upgraded cockpit table with a Raymarine Axiom 12-inch Chartplotter, Isotherm fridge, handy storage box, and pop-up light. The comfortable cockpit cushions have deep backrests, and there’s good access back between the twin wheels to the ample swim platform with neatly integrated ladder. An external grill can be installed between the two folding helm seats.
Like all Hanse yachts, the 360 utilises the brand’s signature self-tacking jib system, as well as having all lines led to the helm station and the option of electric winches, enabling the boat to be effectively sailed by a couple or solo.
Responding to growing demand for more hybrid and electric propulsion, Hanse offers a range of auxiliary drives for the 360: 29 hp or 39 hp diesel engines from Yanmar and 25 kW electric motors with 18.4 or 36.7 kWh batteries. Solar panels with up to 180 Wp can also be ordered, as can an Efoy fuel cell with a maximum charging capacity of 250 ampere-hours per day.
With 12 possible layout combinations, your Hanse 360 can be tailored to your taste and preferences, including choices of furniture finishes, interior surfaces and fabrics, floorboards, galley worktops, and right down to six colours of cockpit cushions to decide from.
